Environment
At TMC, we are committed to sustainability through a series of impactful initiatives. Every phase of our work, from transformer design to end-of-life management, is aimed at reducing our overall environmental impact.
Among our certifications, ISO 14067:2018 stands out as a key milestone in our sustainability journey. This standard defines the criteria for calculating the Carbon Footprint of a Product, which refers to the CO₂ emissions generated throughout the entire life cycle of a transformer.
By analysing every stage, from production to use and disposal we gain valuable insights that allow us to take concrete actions to minimize environmental impact.
Our commitment to transparency reaches a new level with the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which we have recently obtained. This declaration is based on a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment conducted in accordance with ISO 14025, evaluating every stage of the product’s life, rom raw material extraction to end-of-life treatment, offering a complete cradle-to-grave perspective.
Our EPD is officially registered on Environdec, the global platform of the one of the most recognized programs for environmental declarations worldwide. TMC is currently the only medium-voltage transformer manufacturer to have published an EPD on this platform, reaffirming our dedication to the highest standards of international transparency.
We have adopted a multi-product EPD, allowing us to present the environmental impact of our entire product range.
We are proud to have been awarded the Bronze Medal by EcoVadis, a recognition of our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices across four key areas: environment, labor, ethis and supply chain management.
This marks the beginning of our journey toward an even more sustainable future, driven by the expertise and dedication of our team in developing innovative green solutions for even greater impact.

At TMC, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
We actively reduce and recycle waste, recovering up to 90% of materials such as mixed waste, wood packaging, and plastics through specialized partners, and we are developing an innovative chemical process to reclaim the resins used in production. Our dry-type transformers are designed for recyclability, with key components like copper, steel, and insulating materials ready to be recovered and reused.
In 2020, we reinforced our commitment to green energy by installing a 1 MW photovoltaic system across 5,000 square meters of our headquarters’ roof, powering our operations with renewable energy.
We also ensure full compliance with EU Regulation 821/2017 on conflict minerals and follow OECD guidelines, reflecting our dedication to responsible sourcing and ethical practices.
Furthermore, we require our partners to guarantee verified product origins and compliance with European Regulation 1907/2006, which restricts the use of hazardous substances, including those in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as substances prohibited by the European Chemicals Agency under REACH and RoHS directives.
